Board Game

Since its debut at the Hong Kong Book Fair 2023, the popularity of the board game “$mart Money Management 321” keeps on rising among teachers, parents and kids, and has won several prestigious international design awards. The game will be restaged at the Book Fair this year with the publicity themed “Money Management Carnival” to further promote financial literacy at the community level.

The HKMA will also launch “企業綠化大變身”, the first educational board game themed green financing in the town, and it is a limited-edition souvenir for the Book Fair. Players will take on the roles of different corporations and embark on a green transformation journey through raising funds in the financial market, deepening their understanding of green financing. The game also introduces various messages related to green finance, global warming, climate change, ESG, and greenwashing through the "Green Information Cards”.

Everyone is welcome to visit the HKMA booth (3C-E18) staged at the Children’s Paradise on the 3/F during the period from 17 to 23 July to try out “$mart Money Management 321”. Visitors can also experience “企業綠化大變身” at designated time slots (i.e. 12 – 1pm & 3 – 4pm every day). In addition to the free game trial corner, the booth will also feature an interactive game zone and photo-taking spot. Kids who participate in the interactive games will have the chance to take home a free set of “$mart Money Management 321”, “企業綠化大變身” or other cool and practical souvenirs.

“$mart Money Management Experiential Centre”

The HKMA launches the “$mart Money Management Wonderland” Campaign to further promote the HKMA’s financial education Board Game “$mart Money Management 321”.  Through the designated showroom at PMQ in Central and online parenting workshops, the public can play to learn money management concepts at the festive moment.

Four Money Management Interactive Games:

1. Necessity & Desire – Learning the difference between “needs” and “wants”
2. Earning & Saving – Understanding source of income and the importance of saving
3. Zigzag Path with Benevolence – Helping those in needs via donation and volunteer work
4. Cybersecurity Dos & Don’ts – Building up cybersecurity awareness

Trial Sessions of the “$mart Money Management 321” Board Game at designated time slots

 “$mart Money Management 321 Parenting Workshops"

The HKMA is going to host two workshops in the morning of two Saturdays in Dec 2023 and Dec 2024.   Members of the public can participate in the “$mart Money Management Wonderland - Wall Game” (理財童樂園有獎遊戲) at the HKMA Facebook Page and answer one simple question.  Each selected participant can bring a kid aged 6 to 12 to join the workshop#.    A new round of the wall game will be rolled out after mid Jan 2024.   Game winners will be able to join the workshop to be held at the Auditorium of the HKMA on 3 Feb 2024 where they can try the board game and visit the HKMA Information Centre.
