The compounded annual investment return of the Exchange Fund since 1994 is 4.5%, higher than the compounded annual Hong Kong composite CPI (2.1%) for the same period.

1. Investment return calculations exclude the holdings in the Strategic Portfolio.
2. Composite Consumer Price Index is calculated based on the 2019/2020-based series.
