Special Opening Arrangements for the HKMA Information Centre

To help ensure public safety, the following special arrangements and precautionary measures are implemented in the Exhibition Area of the HKMA Information Centre.

Admission Arrangements

  • Special opening hours are from 10:00am to 5:30pm (Mondays – Fridays) and 10:00am to 1:00pm (Saturdays) until further notice. You may visit us during one of the following sessions (three hours each* with limited admission):
  • *Mondays – Fridays:
      10:00am – 1:00pm
      2:30pm – 5:30pm
  • *Saturdays:
      10:00am – 1:00pm
  • (No entry 20 minutes before closing of each session)
  • Closed on Sundays and public holidays
  • Visitors will be admitted on a first come first served basis.
  • Guided tours are temporarily suspended.

Precautionary Measures

  • All visitors entering the Centre, except for exempted persons, are required to scan the “LeaveHomeSafe” QR code and comply with the requirement of the Vaccine Pass. Details on the Vaccine Pass arrangements can be found at
  • All visitors are required to have their body temperature screened at the G/F concierge counter. Those with fever symptoms will not be admitted.
  • All visitors should bring and wear a mask to protect themselves and others.
  • To further strengthen the hygiene of the facilities, enhanced cleansing and disinfection in between sessions are conducted. Alcohol hand sanitisers will be available for use.
  • Exhibits and facilities at the Centre have been sanitised with anti-microbial coating (i.e. Hikari Gin Tech (HGT) and Microbe Shield).

The HKMA will review the situation and adjust relevant preventive measures as and when necessary.

Temporary Closure of the Library​

The Library of the HKMA Information Centre is temporarily closed to the public for renovation. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

The HKMA Information Centre, consisting of an exhibition area and a library, is an important resource for introducing the work of the HKMA to the community and promoting public awareness of monetary and banking matters.

The Centre is open to the public since 1 December 2003. Admission is free.

Guided tours are available on a daily basis. Group visits for schools, tertiary institutions, and non-profit organisations can also be arranged upon request.
