  • 1857

    Agra & United Service Bank Limited opens a branch in Hong Kong.

  • 1863

    It starts issuing notes and is the only bank in Hong Kong known to have plans on issuing $200 and $300 notes.

  • 1864

    The bank merges with Masterman, Peters, Mildred & Co and changes its English name to the Agra & Masterman’s Bank Limited, while the Chinese name remains the same.

  • 1866

    It stops issuing notes.

  • 1872

    The Hong Kong branch closes down.
