Industry Project Masters Network (IPMN)

Professor Edward J. Snape, Dean of School of Business, Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), signed the MoU with Mr Colin Pou, Executive Director (Financial Infrastructure), HKMA.

“The HKMA has been at the forefront of the development of Hong Kong as a major Fintech centre. This important new initiative will help groom Fintech talent and provide for fruitful collaborations between academia and the finance sector. HKBU’s MSc in Finance (Fintech & Financial Analytics) is honoured to partner with the HKMA in this initiative.”

Professor Martin Wong, Dean of Engineering, the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), signed the MoU with Mr Colin Pou.

“Through the CUHK Engineering FinTech Applied Research (CEFAR) Academy, this is the 3rd year for the CUHK MSc FinTech students to engage with banks and technology companies in conducting applied research projects in the area of Financial Technology. We are pleased to enter into a strategic partnership with the HKMA to enforce our research excellence in support of the IPMN scheme as outlined in the recently announced FinTech 2025 strategy.”

Professor Kar Yan Tam, Dean of Business and Management, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), signed the MoU with Mr Colin Pou.

“Fintech is set to transform the future of work in the financial services industry. Realising its growing importance, HKUST has combined the strengths of its education and research in business, engineering and science in this multi-disciplinary space. We are very pleased to work with the HKMA in the IPMN scheme and provide opportunities for our students to work on real-life fintech projects and gain hands-on experience. The partnership attests to our ongoing commitment in nurturing fintech talent and developing Hong Kong into a major global fintech hub.”

Professor David Srolovitz, Dean of Engineering, the University of Hong Kong, signed the MoU with Mr Colin Pou.

“HKU is devoted to groom world class FinTech talents through our interdisciplinary FinTech programmes and the HKU-SCF FinTech Academy. We are delighted to collaborate with HKMA to create more enrichment opportunities for students and to cultivate future-fit talents in FinTech.”
