United Nations Sanctions (Iran) Regulation

Further to our letter of 24 April, I am writing to inform you that United Nations Sanctions (Iran) Regulation ("Regulation") was made under the United Nations Sanctions Ordinance (Cap. 537). A list of persons and entities referred to in the Annex to Resolution 1737 and Annex I to Resolution 1747 adopted by the United Nations Security Council Committee were specified pursuant to section 31 of the Regulation. The Regulation and the list of the persons and entities were published in the Gazette (L.N. 179 of 2007 and G.N. 6431) on 28 September and 5 October respectively and are available on the Government's website (http://www.gov.hk).

You are reminded to check your records and report any transactions or relationships your institution has or has had with the named persons or entities above to the Joint Financial Intelligence Unit and the HKMA.
