Guide to Applicants (GTA)

I am writing to inform that the guidelines published by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) in May 1997 to explain the authorization criteria and supervisory requirements for smart cards and money brokers have been compiled into two GTA chapters. The contents page and some of the Annexes of the GTA have also been revised to reflect the consequent changes. Each authorized institution may now collect a set of the entire documents in both English and Chinese free of charge at the Public Registry of the HKMA. For identification and record purpose, your staff should bring along the attached bearer letter when he/she comes to collect the documents.
