This year, I continue my tradition of sending readers my good wishes for the Year of the Dog through this column. Here is the English translation of the Chinese rhyme I have produced for the occasion. I am afraid that it may lose something in translation, but the good wishes remain the same whatever the language. Kung Hey Fat Choi to all of you.
May governance be further improved with the Administration forging ahead decisively.
May the pace of economic growth quicken in a continuing favourable environment.
May reforms on the Mainland continue with new plans bringing abundant business opportunities.
May Hong Kong go from strength to strength as financial intermediation and linkages develop further.
