Credit Card Lending Survey Results for Fourth Quarter 2022

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority published today (15 February) the credit card lending survey results for the fourth quarter of 2022.

Total card receivables increased by 12.1% in the fourth quarter to HK$145.0 billion at end-December 2022, mainly driven by festive spending and salaries tax payment.

The combined delinquent and rescheduled ratio edged down to 0.28% at end-December 2022 from 0.29% at the previous quarter-end. The quarterly charge-off ratio decreased to 0.38% from 0.42% in the previous quarter.
