CMU OmniClear Limited (CMU OmniClear) is a wholly owned subsidiary of CMU OmniClear Holdings Limited, which is jointly owned by the Exchange Fund (as the majority shareholder) and Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (as the minority shareholder). It carries out the operation and business development activities of the Central Moneymarkets Unit (CMU) on behalf of the HKMA. As part of the critical financial market infrastructure in Hong Kong, CMU is a central securities depository (CSD), providing secure and efficient clearing, settlement and custodian services for securities. Senior Associate, IT & System Development (Network and Data Centre)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, deployment, and optimization of LAN, WAN, wireless, Telephony and cloud-based network solutions
- Define and enforce network standards, policies, and best practices
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate emerging technologies for potential adoption.
- Oversee network monitoring, incident response, and root cause analysis
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and secure access solutions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance network performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Support and maintain Data Centre infrastructure services
- Prepare and present reports on network health, capacity planning, and project progress to senior management
- Evaluate emerging technologies, and lead the planning and implementation of optimal solutions
- Execute business continuity planning for systems and personnel
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- At least three years of experience in network engineering
- Comprehensive knowledge of routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, and cloud networking
- Proficiency with enterprise networking platforms such as Cisco, FortiGate, Palo, Alto Networks, or equivalent
- Experience with network monitoring and automation tools
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and service management frameworks
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent are highly desirable
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese, including spoken Putonghua
- Candidates with supplementary experience and qualifications will also be considered, even if they do not meet all of the specified requirements above
(Candidates with less experience may be considered for an offer of appointment at Associate level.)
