Student Ambassador Programme (September 2025 to June 2026)

Hong Kong Monetary Authority (Information Centre)

Student Ambassador Programme (September 2025 to June 2026)

 Recruitment of Student Ambassadors

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (“HKMA”) Information Centre, located on the 55/F of Two International Finance Centre in Central, was opened in December 2003 as a public education resource.  The Centre, which consists of an Exhibition Area and a Library, introduces the work of the HKMA and the monetary and banking developments in Hong Kong.  As part of the HKMA’s public education efforts, we invite students from universities in Hong Kong to participate in our Student Ambassador Programme each year to assist in the operation of the Information Centre.

This year’s Student Ambassador Programme will be held from September 2025 to June 2026.  The student ambassadors will be involved in organising guided tours, answering simple enquiries from the general public, and supporting the day-to-day operation of the Information Centre. They may also be invited to assist in the organisation of seminars and other educational programmes by the HKMA for the general public.  A training programme will be conducted to familiarise them with the details of the Information Centre and other aspects of the work of the HKMA.

Through their assistance in the operation of the Information Centre and the organisation of public education programmes, the student ambassadors are expected to gain knowledge of the work of the HKMA and other related financial topics.

Involvement of the Student Ambassadors

The student ambassadors will participate in this programme on a part-time basis.  Each service session will last for three or four hours for half-day shifts (10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays, and 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays) or seven hours for whole day-shifts on weekdays (10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., including one hour for lunch without honorarium).  The student ambassadors are expected to work, on average, at least two half-day shifts or one whole-day shift per week*.  Their working schedule will be fixed when they join the programme.
