The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong. 

CMU OmniClear Limited (CMU OmniClear) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Exchange Fund.  It carries out the operation and business development activities of the Central Moneymarkets Unit (CMU) on behalf of the HKMA.  As part of the critical financial infrastructure in Hong Kong, CMU is a central securities depository (CSD) for securities.  CMU OmniClear’s vision is to continuously enhance CMU service coverage, expand connectivity with other markets and upgrade the CMU infrastructure to provide market participants with comprehensive and quality services.

Senior Associate, Project Management

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Evaluate and enhance current business processes by creating process maps and flowcharts to visualise improvements
  • Lead and manage end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and validate solutions, developing business specifications and use cases
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and enhancement of financial platforms, ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • Identify potential risks and challenges, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure smooth project execution
  • Analyse existing workflows, recommend efficiency improvements, and implement best practices
  • Ensure projects adhere to financial regulations, data security policies, and risk management frameworks
  • Maintain project documentation, track progress, and provide regular updates to senior management
  • Collaborate effectively with relevant stakeholders for efficient project implementation

 

Requirements

 

  • University Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in a well-established financial organisation
  • Previous experience in technology project management, business process optimisation, or information systems within financial services
  • Knowledge of cash equity settlement and custody functions in Hong Kong and Asian markets is preferred
  • Ability to design, plan, and execute projects, ensuring that scope, deliverables, timelines, and budgets are met
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and key executives
  • Experience in assessing and enhancing IT processes, identifying gaps, and implementing target state operating models
  • Ability to mentor junior employees, contribute to business development, and proposal activities
  • Understanding of financial regulations, risk management, and operational efficiencies in platform development
  • Candidates with supplementary experience and qualifications will also be considered, even if they do not meet all of the specified requirements above

(Candidates with less experience may be considered for an offer of appointment at Associate level.)
