Manager (Communications)

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong.  There is now an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates to apply for the following position:

Manager (Communications)

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage media relations and handle enquiries from the press and the public. Prepare communications materials and external correspondence. Manage media interviews for senior executives and perform press marshalling duties
  • Advise and work closely with line departments on communications and public affairs matters
  • Plan and manage media and publicity projects, including large scale events such as industry conference
  • Perform news monitoring duties, and conduct media research and analysis
  • Contribute to the overall communications strategy of the HKMA

 

Requirements

 

  • University degree, preferably in journalism, communications, economics, international finance / banking or related fields
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in media relations, public affairs, agency, banking, finance or related fields
  • Experience in team management, PR agency, and event management an advantage
  • Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Good team player, fast learner, proactive and versatile
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Putonghua

  • Appointment will be made on fixed contract terms
