The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong.  There is now an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates to apply for the following position in the Hong Kong FMI Services Limited (HKFMI), a wholly owned subsidiary of the HKMA:

Data Analyst (Commercial Data Interchange)

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Support project planning and project execution in relation to new CDI development and use cases;
  • Collect, analyse and document business requirements from various CDI stakeholders, including financial institutions, government departments and commercial data providers
  • Support in coordinating and managing system development and maintenance of CDI
  • Assist in testing arrangement and documentation to ensure the smooth deployment of CDI functions
  • Monitor and track project issues, ensuring timely resolution and escalations to the appropriate parties when necessary;
  • Support procurement and vendor management for new CDI projects;
  • Review CDI new membership applications and support key business operations of the CDI platform, including client onboarding, membership management, enquiry handling, and statistics reporting
  • Develop and maintain CDI governance documents to address new CDI developments and use cases;
  • Support on CDI governance initiatives including privacy impact assessments for new use cases
  • Provide ad-hoc administrative support to the CDI team as required

 

Requirements

 

  • University degree, preferably in business administration or related fields
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of operation of data exchange platforms, fintech, finance, banking and good understanding of the HKMA’s functions an advantage
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with good command of both English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua a plus
  • Conscientiousness, attention to detail and the ability to multitask are essential
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Well-versed in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
