The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong.  There is now an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates to apply for the following post:

Manager (Data Science)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct data science research on granular and alternative data for risk monitoring and surveillance
• Lead a team of programmers to automate data dashboard, database management, and model deployment
• Oversee, maintain, and enhance the daily operations of an internal web portal and Generative AI-powered tools

Requirements

• University degree in data science, statistics, economics, computer science or related fields
• At least 3 years of solid work experience in data science, data engineering, and / or data analytics
• Proficiency in Python, SQL and Tableau
• Hands-on experience with containerization and deployment using Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (Git, Terraform, Jenkins) and orchestration tools (Apache Airflow)
• Solid understanding of cross-system integration and full data pipeline development
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms, natural language processing, and big data toolkits an advantage
• Highly motivated with good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese

Remuneration Package
