The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong.  There is now an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates to apply for the following post:

Senior Manager (Payment Systems)

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead a payment systems operation team to ensure smooth operation and proper risk management of the payment systems in Hong Kong, including Real Time Gross Settlement systems and Faster Payment System
  • Monitor payment flows as well as handle exception and contingency arrangement for payment systems in Hong Kong
  • Promote the effective usage of payment systems, particularly those functionalities related to liquidity and settlement risk management
  • Identify system and operation enhancement opportunities, taking into account global development for financial market infrastructures, with a view to further improving the safety and efficiency of payment systems in collaboration with relevant stakeholders and vendors
  • Ensure the compliance of operation of the payment systems in Hong Kong with international and local standards for key financial market infrastructures

 

Requirements

 

  • University degree in finance, business, information technology or related fields
  • At least five years of relevant work experience in banking or financial services industry
  • Knowledge of local and overseas operations of key payment systems, as well as debt securities settlement systems and fintech an advantage
  • Strong leadership, analytical and negotiation skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good command of English and Chinese
  • Flexibility to work in adverse weather conditions as required

 

Remuneration Package
