The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong. There is now an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates to apply for the following position:
Director (Investment Management Platform)
You will be co-ordinating and executing the continuous implementation of an Investment Management Platform (IMP) for the Exchange Fund Investment Office (EFIO) across multiple business functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with vendors and third parties to develop and maintain a detailed project plan for the implementation of IMP that aligns with goals and priorities outlined in the IMP strategy
- Develop and co-ordinate project requests, approvals, and prioritization for the IMP initiative
- Refine and execute the communication strategy, targeted to the stakeholder matrix across the HKMA, including regular status updates
- Co-ordinate project management, task force and executive steering committee meetings at regular intervals
- Maintain project issue and risk logs; take appropriate steps to resolve issues and mitigate risks in an expeditious manner
- Lead co-ordination of activities between the HKMA staff, vendors and other third parties, from requirements gathering, design and testing through implementation
- Co-ordinate internal and external resources to ensure the project remains within scope, schedule and budget
- Ensure documentation is thorough, current and stored appropriately
- Facilitate engagement with other projects and dependencies, such as EFIO’s data warehouse and data management platform
Requirements
- University degree in finance, economics, business or related fields
- At least 5 years of project management experience with at least 3 years gained in the institutional investment management industry
- Substantial knowledge of the end-to-end investment lifecycle across asset classes, including the data, processes, workflows and investment platforms / systems used to support the investment business
- Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to lead project meetings, resolve issues, monitor progress, and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Strong business perspective and understanding of investment data
- Practical knowledge of data integration a plus
- Good technical aptitude
