The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) today announced that the Financial Secretary has appointed Mrs Marian Li Chan Sien-mun as the Executive Director to head the Land Fund Office of the HKMA.
In welcoming Mrs Li, HKMA's Chief Executive Mr Joseph Yam said: "Mrs Li has many years of solid experience and a distinguished record in the financial industry. Her specialisation was in investment and equity management in the last 10 years. Mrs Li's wide experience will undoubtedly be valuable to our management of the Land Fund portfolio, and her private sector experience will add to the expertise of the Land Fund Office."
Mrs Li will report to HKMA's Deputy Chief Executive Andrew Sheng who oversees the day-to-day management of the Land Fund portfolio.
Mrs Li is currently a Chief Investment Officer of Indocam Hong Kong Ltd and will report duty on 1 December 1997.

Mrs Li was educated in Hong Kong and the UK. She received her MBA degree from Manchester Business School, UK.
Mrs Li started her career as an Administrative Officer of the Hong Kong Government. She then spent two years with Jardine Fleming before joining the Standard Chartered bank in 1989 as Chief Investment Officer. In 1993, she joined Indocam Hong Kong Ltd (formerly known as Indosuez Asset Management Asia) taking up her current post as Chief Investment Officer.
