Latest Foreign Exchange Reserves Figure Released

Hong Kong's foreign reserves as at end of April were US$63.6 billion - a slight increase from US$63.4 billion a month ago.

The increase was due to seasonal increase in government placements of fiscal reserves with the Exchange Fund.

The above figures excluded forward transactions yet to be settled. Including forward transactions, the foreign reserves reached US$67.6 billion at end April, compared to US$67.7 billion at end March.
