The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong. There is now an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates to apply for the following position in the Hong Kong FMI Services Limited (HKFMI), a wholly owned subsidiary of the HKMA:
Systems Analyst (Platform and Infrastructure)
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain server hardware to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Design and implement virtualization solutions to maximize resource utilization and efficiency
- Manage and optimize platform services including virtual machines, containers (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift), serverless functions, and API gateways
- Assist with routine platform and infrastructure maintenance, including security patching, system upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and day-to-day operational support
- Provide on-call support to the operations team to ensure seamless system operation and minimize downtime
- Participate in system design, capacity planning, and infrastructure architecture reviews
- Document infrastructure architecture, deployment procedures, disaster recovery plans, and incident reports
Requirements
- University degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or related fields
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in systems analysis, infrastructure engineering, or platform operations, preferably in banking, payments, financial market infrastructure or other regulated environments
- Strong understanding of server hardware and virtualization technologies
- Proficiency in VMware suite (ESXi, vSphere, vCenter) and ability to design and implement virtualization solutions
- Experience with performance monitoring and capacity planning tools to optimize system performance
- Understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, load balancing, firewalls) and security (IAM, encryption, logging)
- Familiarity with multiple public and private cloud solutions, such as AWS, Alibaba Cloud, Huawei Cloud, Sangfor, and Tencent Cloud is a plus
- Knowledge in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines,a plus
- Fluency in both written and oral English and Chinese, including proficiency in both Cantonese and Putonghua

- Depending on the openings available, successful candidates may be appointed on HKFMI fixed contract terms
