Associate Director (Information Technology) – Solution Architect (AI & Innovation Platform)(英文版本)

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong.  There is now an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates to apply for the following position:

Associate Director (Information Technology) – Solution Architect (AI & Innovation Platform)

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end architecture and design of AI & innovation platforms, including AI/ML pipelines, generative AI solutions, agentic frameworks, automation frameworks, and intelligent process orchestration systems
  • Define and own reference architecture, patterns, and governance frameworks for AI, cloud-native, and digital innovation platforms
  • Champion innovation by identifying, evaluating, and piloting emerging technologies (e.g., generative AI, low-code/no-code platforms, AI agents, autonomous systems) to solve complex business challenges
  • Collaborate with the AI CoE to design, implement, and ensure the production readiness of AI business use cases within HKMA
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Enterprise Architects, and business stakeholders to align solution architecture with strategic goals and regulatory requirements
  • Drive the adoption of cloud-native principles, DevSecOps, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) across innovation projects and AI platforms
  • Design and oversee the implementation of scalable, resilient, and secure architectures for AI application deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management
  • Provide technical leadership in building and integrating innovation platforms with banking and financial systems
  • Support proof-of-concept (PoC) and rapid prototyping initiatives, ensuring feasibility, security, and scalability before enterprise rollout
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., data privacy, cybersecurity, audit trails) in all architectural decisions and implementations

 

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT architecture and solution design, with at least 2 years focused on digital transformation, innovation platforms, or enterprise AI solutions
  • Proven track record in leading large-scale, multi-year digitalisation projects across financial services or regulated industries
  • Experience in cloud-native architecture with hands-on experience in designing and deploying scalable, secure, and resilient systems
  • Strong foundation in AI & innovation platform technologies, including:
    • Generative AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, vLLM)
    • AI interfaces (e.g. MCP, Open AI)
    • MLOps/LLMOps toolchains (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Argo Workflows)
    • AI orchestration, vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems
    • AI Platforms
  • Integration with enterprise data platforms (e.g. Data lake)
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Ansible Automation Platform CI/CD)
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, including security scanning (SonarQube), artifact management (Nexus, Harbor), and compliance automation
  • Strong understanding of API management, event-driven architecture, and microservices design
  • Experience in enterprise-grade monitoring and observability (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki)
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills – capable of translating technical concepts to business leaders and non-technical stakeholders
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for innovation, continuous learning, and driving change in complex environments
