The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong. There is now an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates to apply for the following position:
Senior Systems Analyst (Information Technology) – IT Security (Cyber Defence Engineer)
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to support the engineering, design, implementation, and maintenance of the security infrastructure towards the optimisation of the Cyber Defence related solutions
- Drive the implementation of the SOAR platform and engineer the integration between security tools
- Work closely with technical vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance requirements are addressed and security solutions are implemented effectively
- Coordinate and collaborate closely with IT and business users to ensure successful enablement of Cyber Defence related solutions
Requirements
- University degree in computer science, engineering or related fields; with cybersecurity certifications such as Certified Information Security Auditor/Manager (CISA/CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Professional (CISP) are highly preferred; red team/blue team related certification a plus
- At least 3 years of experience in Cyber Defence, Incident Response, Security Engineering and Security Operations
- Strong knowledge/experienced in the utilisation of Cyber Defence tools such as PAM, DLP, NDR, SOAR, EDR, SIEM, MISP, Firewall, HoneyPot
- Strong knowledge in Cyber Attack models, Offensive Security Methodology, Threat Intelligence with hands-on experience
- Strong knowledge in script development for playbook automation (such as Python/PowerShell/Bash/Query Languages including KQL/SPL)
- Familiar with the DevSecOps lifecycle on cybersecurity solution delivery, and hands-on experience with version control systems and understanding of code contribution best practices
- Strong understanding of computer systems, including operating systems, databases, networks, infrastructure, container technology, and cloud computing
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, presentation skills, organisational and time management skills, with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders
(Candidates with less experience may be considered for an offer of appointment at Systems Analyst level.)

- Appointment will be made on fixed contract terms
