Senior Systems Analyst – Full-stack Application Development(英文版本)

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong.  There is now an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates to apply for the following position in the Hong Kong FMI Services Limited (HKFMI), a wholly owned subsidiary of the HKMA:

Senior Systems Analyst – Full-stack Application Development

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Perform hands-on system analysis and development for a DLT-based payment system, including requirements elaboration, design, build, integration and testing
  • Produce technical deliverables including system design documents, interface specifications, data models, sequence diagrams, and test artefacts
  • Develop and maintain application components (e.g. backend services, APIs, workflow/smart contract logic where applicable) and support code reviews and quality assurance
  • Support integration with external/internal systems (e.g. RTGS interfaces, securities settlement systems, FX trading systems, messaging standards such as ISO 20022 where applicable)
  • Participate in DevSecOps activities, including CI/CD pipeline usage, environment setup / support, release packaging and deployment coordination
  • Conduct and support end-to-end testing (unit, integration, regression, performance and security testing), defect triage and remediation
  • Implement security and control requirements (e.g. authentication/authorisation, encryption, audit logging, key management considerations, data governance)
  • Prepare technical documentation and contribute to operational readiness (monitoring, logging, runbooks, incident support procedures) for pilot and production-like environments
  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders (product/project, architecture, cybersecurity, operations, partner teams) in a co-development setting

 

Requirements

 

  • University degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or related fields, other relevant qualifications are preferred
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in system analysis and application development, preferably in banking, payments, financial market infrastructure or other regulated environments
  • Strong hands-on experience in developing Java applications (preferably using Spring framework) and system integration (e.g. RESTful / SOAP APIs, messaging concepts)
  • Solid experience integrating applications with blockchain / DLT component, cryptographic algorithms, Solidity smart contract programming is desirable
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle and agile development methodology, including version control, testing practices, and exposure to DevOps / CI/CD; able to troubleshoot and resolve common technical issues
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity basics (e.g. authentication/authorisation, secure coding) is required
  • Exposure to DLT / blockchain concepts and/or payments domain knowledge (e.g. cross-border payments, DvP, PvP, settlement, ISO 20022) is an advantage
  • Fluency in both written and oral English and Chinese, including proficiency in both Cantonese and Putonghua

(Candidates with less experience may be considered for an offer of appointment at Systems Analyst level.)
