The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong.  There is now an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates to apply for the following post:

Assistant Manager (Enforcement and Banking Complaints)

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Assist in conduct investigations under the applicable laws, analyse evidence and where appropriate, prepare cases for disciplinary proceedings and/or prosecution
  • Handle and assess all types of banking complaints
  • Interview complainants and other stakeholders; prepare interview statements
  • Prepare reports and documents relating to cases handled

 

Requirements

 

  • University degree, preferably in economics, finance or law 
  • Outstanding skills of English and Chinese writing and speaking (including Putonghua) are crucial advantages
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • handling of work in relation to regulatory authority or enforcement agency, such as investigation of misconduct, corruption offences, financial crimes or money-laundering activities, or issues in financial institutions’ relevant controls
    • handling of banking complaints or complaints in related fields
    • auditing, banking compliance, relevant litigation or related fields
  • Sound knowledge of financial products and markets (e.g. banking, securities, insurance and digital assets)
  • Good analytical, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Confidence and patience in interacting with complainants and other stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and capable of working efficiently under pressure
  • Acquaintance with artificial intelligence applications a plus

 

Remuneration Package
