98年8月份货币统计数字

香港金融管理局今日(9月29日)发表的统计数字显示，8月份存款总额继续上升，但本地贷款则告下降。附表1列出8月份的摘要数字以及过去数月的比较数字。

存款

存款总额继7月份上升3.8%后，在8月份上升1.4%，连续第三个录得升幅，其中港元存款和外币存款分别上升0.6%和2.5%。商业机构在8月份仍继续将海外资金调回香港，但资金数量已见减少。

8月份，港元往来存款和储蓄存款分别减少2.9%和3.9%，定期存款则上升2.0%。由于外币存款增长比港元存款为快，港元存款占存款总额比重由7月底57.7%，微跌至8月底的57.3%。

贷款及垫款

8月份贷款和垫款总额减少2.3%。海外贷款持续向下，录得5.8%的跌幅。此外，8月份本地贷款也减少0.2%，其中贸易融资贷款进一步收缩2.1%，而在港使用的其他贷款则持平。由于港元存款上升而贷款下跌，港元贷存比率由7月底的106.2%，下跌至8月底的105.1%。

货币供应

港元货币供应M1在7月份微升0.2%后，在8月份却下跌1.9%。另一方面，8月份港元货币供应M2和M3则分别上升0.6%和0.7%。以截至8月份的12个月计，港元货币供应M1下跌16.6%，但港元货币供应M2和M3则分别上升4.5%和4.3%。
