The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong.  There is now an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates to apply for the following position:

Officer (Risk Management and Compliance)

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold and maintain the integrity of market price data in internal systems by collecting market prices, verifying data accuracy, identifying and investigating data anomalies, and updating price information
  • Assist in performing daily operations in relation to credit support for derivative transactions for mitigation of counterparty credit risk
  • Perform user acceptance tests for in-house trading and risk management system
  • Provide support on operational re-engineering and digitalisation projects for improving and automating business processes relating to risk management and compliance
  • Provide administrative support and perform ad hoc duties as assigned

 

Requirements

  • University degree, preferably in risk management, economics, finance, statistics or related fields
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience gained in banks and/or financial institutions; hands-on experience in market data maintenance and system testing preferred
  • Good understanding of investment products, including fixed income, money market, foreign exchange, derivatives instruments
  • Experience in using Bloomberg, Python, Excel VBA and Tableau a definite advantage
  • Good analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese

  • Appointment will be made on fixed contract terms
