The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong. There is now an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates to apply for the following position:
Systems Analyst (Information Technology) – Network Security Administrator
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the HKMA’s network security infrastructure, including web proxy and filtering, DNS, firewall systems, and integration with AI-driven monitoring tools
- Handle daily operations and incident response, including service requests, troubleshooting, and collaborate with IT Security Team on incident response and recovery
- Plan and implement system changes and upgrades, patch management, and disaster recovery operations
- Maintain and enhance system documentation, including configuration records, change logs, and operational procedures
- Implement IT security controls, ensuring alignment with internal policies and audit requirements
- Conduct research, proof-of-concept, and deployment of new network security technologies to strengthen the organisation’s security posture
Requirements
- University degree in information technology, computer engineering or related fields
- At least 3 years of solid hands-on experience in network security and technical support
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in the following areas and technologies:
- Networking (e.g. TCP/IP, IP routing)
- Forcepoint web proxy & filtering
- Darktrace platform
- Network detection and response systems
- Next generation firewalls
- Anti-DDoS, DNS security, and Cloudflare services
- Professional qualifications on networking and relevant network security products
- Show initiatives, good analytical and problem-solving skills
- A good team player with good interpersonal, communication and writing skills
- Need to work outside normal office hours as and when required
Conditions of service
- Appointment will be made on fixed contract terms
