The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong.  There is now an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates to apply for the following position:

Manager / Assistant Manager (Banking Supervision) (Supervisory Technology)

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Identify emerging technology trends, conduct research on data analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and machine learning applications, and propose innovative supervisory measures to enhance oversight of Authorized Institutions
  • Assist with the implementation, project management and operation of Supervisory Technology (Suptech) and collaborate with relevant stakeholders
  • Assist in developing and updating the HKMA’s policies and guidelines to implement the data-driven and technology-empowered supervisory framework
  • Perform quality assurance checks and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of supervisory functions and validate the quality of deliverables, ensuring robust governance and compliance with HKMA standards
  • Collaborate with the banking industry and other stakeholders to promote the adoption of Fintech, fostering innovation in Regtech and Suptech

 

Requirements

 

  • University degree preferably in information technology or related fields
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in banking, data analytics, technology audits, technology risk management within financial sector
  • Good programme and project management skills and analytical capability
  • Knowledge of data analytics in banking operations or supervision, and knowledge of AI and machine learning an advantage
  • Experience in developing and implementing solution for supervisory or risk management purposes desirable
  • Flexibility and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.  Proficiency in Putonghua an advantage

(Candidates with less experience may be considered for an offer of appointment at Assistant Manager level.)

  • Appointment will be made on fixed contract terms
