The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong.  There is now an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates to apply for the following position:

Fintech Officer (Fintech Facilitation Office)

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Assist in advancing a next-generation Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) innovative project to a new stage of development
  • Assist with the analysis and development of the real-world asset tokenisation use cases with participants in the project
  • Coordinate project meetings and events, and ensure timely communication with internal and external parties
  • Provide assistance to stakeholders to facilitate the development, translation and review of project related documents and press materials  
  • Assist internal process and procedures as required by the project
  • Conduct research on CBDC-related topics to facilitate relevant analysis
  • Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by the supervisors

 

Requirements

 

  • University degree, preferably in business, communications, financial technology or related fields
  • At least 2 years of working experience, experience in financial industry preferred
  • Good knowledge of the latest development in the fields of digital money and payment, knowledge in financial assets an advantage
  • Innovative mindset with good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua an advantage

 

Conditions of service

 

  • Appointment will be made on fixed contract terms
