The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong.  There is now an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates to apply for the following position:

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Configuration & Customization: Configure SimCorp Dimension to meet client-specific requirements, including front, middle, and back-office workflows, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Application Integration: Design, develop, and implement integration solutions to connect SimCorp Dimension with external systems (e.g., price feeds, payment systems, and other financial platforms) using APIs, middleware, or custom interfaces
  • Data Management: Oversee data flows, ensure data integrity, and implement data management best practices within SimCorp Dimension to support portfolio management, compliance, and reporting
  • Source Control & CI/CD Pipeline: Establish and maintain source control processes and design CI/CD pipelines for SimCorp Dimension changes, ensuring efficient and reliable deployment of updates
  • Test Automation Framework: Design and implement a test automation framework to validate SimCorp Dimension configurations, integrations, and customizations, improving quality and reducing manual testing efforts
  • Collaboration & Consulting: Work closely with clients, business analysts, and development teams to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and deliver tailored solutions
  • Documentation & Training: Document technical designs, configurations, and processes, and provide training to client teams to ensure successful adoption of SimCorp Dimension solutions

 

Requirements

 

  • University degree in computer science, finance, engineering or related fields.  Relevant certifications (e.g., SimCorp Dimension training, capital markets certifications) a plus
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with SimCorp Dimension, focusing on configuration, integration, and data management.   Proven track record in designing and implementing application integrations for SimCorp Dimension with external systems
  • Strong knowledge of SimCorp Dimension’s architecture, modules, and data model
  • Proficiency in integration technologies (e.g., APIs, ETL tools, or middleware) and data management practices
  • Experience with source control tools (e.g., Git) and setting up CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar).
  • Familiarity with designing and implementing test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, or custom scripting for SimCorp Dimension)
  • Knowledge of capital markets (e.g., equities, fixed income, derivatives, portfolio management) highly preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities to work with technical and non-technical teams
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
  • Experience with cloud-based deployments of SimCorp Dimension (SimCorp Dimension as a Service) preferred
  • Familiarity with Dyalog APL or other programming languages used in SimCorp Dimension development preferred
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements in investment management preferred

 

Conditions of service

 

  • Appointment will be made on fixed contract terms
  • A competitive remuneration package will be offered.  There is flexibility to take account of additional experience and qualifications
