The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong. 

CMU OmniClear Limited (CMU OmniClear) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Exchange Fund.  It carries out the operation and business development activities of the Central Moneymarkets Unit (CMU) on behalf of the HKMA.  As part of the critical financial market infrastructure in Hong Kong, CMU is a central securities depository (CSD), providing secure and efficient clearing, settlement and custodian services for securities.  CMU OmniClear’s vision is to continuously enhance CMU service coverage, expand connectivity with other markets and upgrade the CMU infrastructure to provide market participants with comprehensive and quality services.

Senior Associate (Application Infrastructure Development & Support)

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Perform administration and maintenance of enterprise system software as well as application system infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain the application infrastructure modules for system-level functions, including authentication, single sign-on, access control, scheduler, workflow and reporting engines, and file upload/download
  • Manage and execute the continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline from build, test, version control to deployment
  • Develop tools to monitor system health and performance
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and supervisors by proactively providing regular updates on project status, risks and issues
  • Keep abreast of relevant technological advancements, development of industry standards and best practices. Actively review the CMU’s existing systems and identify areas for continuous improvement

 

Requirements

 

  • University degree in information technology, computer science or related fields
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in a well-established organization, including developing application infrastructure components, system software administration and DevSecOps
  • Solid experience in configuration and management of Oracle Database, IBM WebSphere and MQ
  • Strong expertise in Java, JMS, Spring framework, Hibernate, Message-driven EJB, JSON and Open API
  • Sound knowledge of CI/CD setup, DevSecOps and Shell scripting
  • Knowledge of SWIFTNet and SWIFT messaging would be an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex information technology concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Candidates with less experience and qualifications will also be considered, even if they do not meet all of the specified requirements above

(Candidates with less experience may be considered for an offer of appointment at Associate level.)
