HKMA’s update on the operation of the banking system and financial market (17)

According to the reports to the HKMA from banks as at 9am today (17 October), 1 branch of 1 bank was affected and remained temporarily closed.  Suspended ATMs in the affected areas have largely resumed normal operation.  The HKMA has requested banks to resume other services as soon as circumstances permit.  Customers should pay attention to the relevant banks’ announcements regarding affected branches and ATMs.   The HKMA will also publish on its website relevant updates from time to time.
