Fraudulent website: www.guo-co.com

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) wishes to alert members of the public in Hong Kong to a fraudulent website with the domain name "www.guo-co.com". The website looks similar to the official website of Guoco Group Limited and contains a link to Hong Leong Bank Berhad, Hong Kong Branch, one of its group companies. Guoco Group Limited has issued a press release today (27 April 2005) to clarify that Guoco Group Limited and any of its group companies have no connection with the fraudulent website.

Guoco Group Limited has reported the case to the Hong Kong Police Force for further investigation. Anyone who has provided his or her personal information to the website or has conducted any financial transactions through the website should contact any local Police Station or the Commercial Crime Bureau of the Hong Kong Police Force at 2860 5012.
