Opening Hours

Monday to Friday	10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Saturday	10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Closed on Sundays and public holidays (No entry 20 minutes before closing)

Admission is free of charge.

The number of general visitors permitted in the HKMA Information Centre at any time may be restricted to avoid congestion and ensure safety. Visitors may be asked to wait for a short time until others have left the Centre.

General Group Visits of 10 People or More
Groups of 10 people or more should register with the HKMA in advance before visiting to ensure entry to the Information Centre. Groups without reservation may not be able to visit the Information Centre due to capacity limits. Applications can be made up to 3 months in advance and must be made at least 7 calendar days prior to the planned visit date, and the visit is confirmed only upon receipt of the HKMA’s written confirmation. If your group is larger than 30 people, in times with a high volume of visitors, you might be asked to split the group into smaller ones and take turns to enter the Information Centre to avoid overcrowding and for the safety of visitors.

Special Arrangements under Inclement Weather Conditions

Warning Signal	In force before opening hours of the Centre	Issued during opening hours of the Centre	Warning signal cancelled
Tropical cyclone warning signal No.8 or above	Will remain closed	The Centre will be closed when the signal is hoisted, or is about to be hoisted	If the signal is lowered or cancelled before 3:00 p.m. on Monday to Friday or 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, and if conditions allow, the Centre will re-open within 2 hours. Otherwise, the Centre will remain closed for the day
“Extreme conditions”		Opening hours of the Centre may be subject to adjustment
Black rainstorm warning		Will remain open until normal closing time

*The HKMA reserves the right to close the Centre in case of emergency, in the interests of safety, or for any other reason.
