The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) has recently issued an Education Pack containing a variety of publications on its work and policies.
The Education Pack contains:
The full text of each of the three publications contained in the Pack is available on the HKMA Website (www.hkma.gov.hk) in PDF format. Interactive versions of the Guide to Hong Kong Monetary and Banking Terms and Money in Hong Kong are being developed and will be uploaded on the website in the coming few months.
The HKMA Education Pack is being distributed during the HKMA's annual education programme, which begins this month for secondary school economics students and their teachers. Under this programme, a series of seminars on the linked exchange rate system and the evolution of money in Hong Kong is being held during November and December 2000. The response to this year's programme has been very encouraging: over 4,000 teachers and students have enrolled to attend, which will make this the largest of the HKMA's annual education programmes, which were first introduced in 1998.
The HKMA Education Pack is available for purchase by the general public at $100 per pack, either through the Government Publications Centre or by cheque through the HKMA Resource Centre. Items in the pack may also be purchased separately (see the attached price list).
