HKMA Quarterly Bulletin (December 2011 Issue)

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) today (Friday) published the December 2011 issue of its Quarterly Bulletin.

This Quarterly Bulletin carries the following two feature articles:

• Results of surveys on selected debt securities and off-balance sheet exposures to derivatives and securitisations – covering the reported exposures of the surveyed authorized institutions at the end of December 2010 and June 2011, and the regulatory developments on over-the-counter derivatives and securitisation activities.

• Assessing the potential impact of a shock from the US and the euro zone on the Hong Kong economy – assessing the potential impact of a major shock from the US and the euro zone on the Hong Kong economy via trade and financial channels.

This issue also carries the regular articles on the global and local economy, and the banking environment.
